Steve Mosto: The Latest

2010 is packing a PUNCH! - February 1, 2010

We are officially playing The Utica Summer Music Fest! We've also been asked to come down to Jackson NJ to play Great Adventure's summer music series.
Then there is the April 23rd gig at The Rhinecliff. Lots of Mosto to go around these days...

Closer on the calendar, We rock our new single COLD HEARTED LOVE next week at The National Underground Friday Feb 12th!

Production continues on the final set of tracks for the EP release. We're just wrapping up at Royal Noise Recordings in the next week.

Robert DiScalfani is back from Viet Nam, so we'll be seeing cuts of the WALK AWAY video soon. And word is that Lou Sapienza is in a big rig rocking to my tunes across I90 as he moves the George 1 Project HQ here to NYC... which means we'll be gathering for some intel on what we can do to help make this project ROCK!

So things are getting pretty interesting... and if you haven't had the chance, stop by JANGO and catch the final cut by Ron Saint Germain of WALK AWAY. Don't touch that dial!

That's a Wrap! - December 11, 2009

Kenny's Castaways went down so well this week we've been asked to come back again early next year. We had a super show that brought the audience to its feet yelling "Encore!" It was great to see everyone out this week. The band made it seem easy. Queen V, as always, a joy to have with us. Thanks V!

December has become an amazing month. Ron Saint Germain wrapped the production on WALK AWAY. We'll have that ready for release later in January, along with the other three songs of the EP: COLD HEARTED LOVE, DO YOU WANNA RUN, HERO/HEROINE. Royal Noise should be back in action Thanks to Jens, for getting the Motherboard back up and running. Couldn't do it without you.

Robert DiScalfani, ever vigilant, is still watching the weather for our final shoots around town this month. The WALK AWAY music video lies safely in his hands for editing and post production once we get this final shoot done. Fingers crossed, that will be ready later in January too.

Prowl Productions has come on board with the project, so if you run into EJ, be sure to ask her about the video casting for the live concert version of the EP... oh, and DON'T BY ANY MEANS call her 'Gal'. She bites.

And yes, it's high Steam Season. So if you see someon that looks remarkably like me leaping tall buildings in a single bound, don't sweat it. It's just SteamGod by day, my alter ego.

Have a great holiday season! Hope to check in at least once more... but if not: HAPPY F'N NEW YEAR!

Smash Studio Video Shoot - October 24, 2009

This week at Smash was a breakthrough for the Walk Away video. Robert DiScalfani and Jeff Akers went the extra innings to make it all happen. What comes next? How can we to the amazing experiences on this journey to the release on the new project... hard to imagine.

Next week we'll be back at Smash rehearsing for the Trash Bar gig on 11/5... tickets available online or email happenings@stevemosto.com for advance discount info.

Rock on!

Guitar Tracks this week at Royal Noise Recordings - October 14, 2009

Am trying to make room for the extremely BIG SOUND Tristan Avakian brings to the project... Can Royal Noise handle it?

Much of the crew is heading out to Roseland tomorrow for Them Crooked Vultures. Not that Tristan needs any inspiration. More like his fingers will need a break!

From there it's into the weekend for recording tracks for both Queen V and my new release. Let's see what's left in Tristan's wake...

Post Uncle Mike's - October 10, 2009

Hey, has anybody seen Sal? Bobby? Are they still locked in the back of V's rig?

If you didn't make it, you totally missed out on a Mosto Most Excellent Adventure. Thanks to Dan Melnick and the Turnstyle Entertainment group, all went down like a charm. The energy was electric, the crowd was in the groove, and the bar was happenin'. Couldn't ask for more.

Thanks, Brian, for bringing the tunes up to the next level with your guitar genius, and Geeta, you are ever the calm in the storm. You are truly Rock's next Princess. Queen V, as ever, brings her grace to the stage wherever she goes... and this night was no exception.

Looking forward to more gigs at Mike's, working with Dan and his crew to get down on it, and setting high standards for the gig next month at The Trash Bar in Brooklyn. Get with The Happenings crew now to secure info and tickets... if we get enough interest we'll bring in some transit to get us all over from the city. Let's just bring down the house, Shall We?

Incase you hadn't heard, we've set an official date for the Walk Away release performance at Kenny's Castaways. After Party location yet to be announced... It's going to be a night to go down in history. Don't miss this. We're gonna party on through to the other side...

If you haven't already checked out the Fall schedule... yes, it's true! we've got a show Thursday 10/8 at 8pm at Uncle Mike's of Tribeca, and one 11/5 8:30 at The Trash Bar in Brooklyn. We've been rehearsing an acoustic set for the Uncle Mike's gig, which will include strings as well as guitar. Get tickets ahead by emailing us at happenings@stevemosto.com

Summer Break's almost over - August 30, 2009

Looking at life from behind a grand piano - August 4, 2009

This week, Steve Mosto spent some time behind one of New York's grand pianos. As seen from inside this premier corporate fishbowl, New York sparkled in the rain which seems to be an ongoing presence this summer. Steve entertained the photo team with many of his own as well as cover tunes, including his own soon to be released, Walk Away. Robert DiScalfani continues to capture Steve in the moment as production of the Walk Away video continues.
